RAWALPINDI, Oct 29 (APP): In a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the envoys-designate of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State of Palestine, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Uzbekistan, Kenya, and the Republic of Turkiye presented their credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday.
The president received credentials from Ambassador-designate of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Avazbek Atakhanov; Ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine, Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid; Ambassador-designate of North Korea, Mr. Choe Chang Man; Ambassador-designate of Uzbekistan, Mr. Alisher Tukhtaey; High Commissioner-designate of Kenya, Lt Gen (R) Peter Mbogo Njiru; and Ambassador-designate of Turkiye, Mr. Irfan Neziroglu.
Following the ceremony, each envoy held a separate meeting with President Zardari, discussing the potential for broader and stronger bilateral relations with Pakistan in areas such as trade, economy, and culture. President Zardari welcomed the envoys, congratulated them on their appointments, and expressed hope for enhanced mutually beneficial relations.
Earlier, the envoys were honored with a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces upon their arrival at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
