Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Rejects Indian Terror Claims, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Anti-Terror Credentials

Staff Report – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has categorically dismissed Indian allegations of Pakistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism, calling them “baseless and politically motivated.” Speaking in a rare and direct interview with Indian news platform The Wire, Bilawal rejected the narrative being pushed by Indian officials, especially following the recent Pahalgam incident.

“These accusations are designed to deflect from India’s own domestic issues,” he said. “Pakistan has consistently been on the frontlines in the global fight against terrorism and has paid a heavy price in lives and resources.”

He added that Pakistan remains open to neutral, international investigations into any terror-related incident, stating: “If there were any evidence of Pakistani involvement, it would have surfaced through credible forums.”

Bilawal also criticized the Indian government for what he termed a “pattern of false narratives,” accusing them of misleading the Indian public and avoiding meaningful cooperation on joint investigations. “India has been unwilling to present actionable evidence in international or bilateral channels,” he noted.

His comments come at a time of heightened diplomatic friction between the two nuclear neighbors. This marks the first high-profile interview by a Pakistani leader to an Indian outlet since the recent military escalation, reflecting a shift toward direct engagement on sensitive issues.

Observers note that Bilawal’s tone remains firm yet diplomatic, aligning with PPP’s long-held foreign policy vision of regional peace through dialogue, not escalation.
