On January 9, 2025, Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani met with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Bilawal House. Ghani briefed Bilawal on the ongoing mega development projects in Karachi, including the Malir Expressway, which will be renamed as Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway. Bilawal is set to inaugurate the first phase of the project on January 11, 2025.
Bilawal also met with Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who updated him on the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s efforts for the welfare and protection of the city’s residents. Additionally, Bilawal held discussions with PPP lawmakers from various regions, including Tando Allahyar and Kashmore, as well as senior PPP leaders from Balochistan, to address local issues and the political situation in the province.
