ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Khappay Report) – The federal government has announced a joint session of Parliament to be held tomorrow.
Parliamentary sources indicate that President Asif Ali Zardari has called this session based on the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Several bills that failed to gain approval from the National Assembly and Senate will be presented for legislation during this joint session. The official notification for the session is expected to be issued shortly.
This decision follows the recent sessions of both the Senate and the National Assembly. Notably, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq postponed the bill concerning the increase in the number of Supreme Court judges.
